Welcome To Paisley Pincushion
October 2008

Morning Ladies:

How was your summer? Hard to believe that it's over already.....but one look out my window and it can't be argued. This kind of weather always puts me in the mood to bake bread.......lots of bread. Soup and bread. You can fix just about any bad day with soup and bread.

Crashed my Kitchen aide mixer a little while ago........had to get another. Went bigger and with more power.......you know what that means......more bread!

Paisley News: A new pattern is out. It's called "Slumber Buns Pajama Bottoms" Comes in 2 lengths; Capri and Full length. AND to top it all off, all the sizes are in one pattern. Yeah! I know that will delight some of you. Childs size 2 all the way up to Ladies 26-28. I think I've got you covered.

Quilt Market is coming right up......and it's my first time to attend. What a treat! My sister Annie (who with her husband Scot) makes those wonderful Plexiglas sewing tables, that we can't sew without, is having me come down and help in their booth. We will also be selling that great little "Bendable Bright Light". Since we are on the first aisle, there won't be much time for shopping.......but at least I was there!

We are mostly recovered from the flood......every once in awhile, I'll move a box or something and find a layer of dried flood mud. A little reminder of last December.

My son Bill (14) took a great shot of the barn......I think you'll enjoy the view.

Have a great fall season, and remember.....Soup & Bread!

The Lord bless & keep you,

Katie

Free Sewing Pattern For Our Troops

Katie has recently put up this free sewing pattern to help our soldiers. It's a beanie that goes under their helmet for warmth. The idea came from hearing that her son in Iraq is cold. So, she made him one to help keep warm. It turns out that it was very popular, and the other soldiers were asking about them. So, she is making them and sending them to the soldiers. Thinking that others might want to do the same for their friends, relatives, sons and daughters, we posted the pattern. If you use it, we would love to hear about it. Just send us an This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .

We have also been able to locate an address to send these to in the event you want to do a bunch, or don't know of a soldier yourself. Linda will take all you can send.
