Morning Everyone-
I just love looking at fonts…….it must be a girl thing. As I look back on different patterns that have been put together, I can see my "Victorian" thinking days and my "Casual" in all areas days. At the moment, I am smitten with Susan Branches handwritting. Of course I’m trying to copy some of her letters. My mom says that I can’t because my writing is "who" I am. But I’ll not give up. I love her "A’s" and the little tails she puts on things.
The farm is pretty calm at the moment….. everything is just holding it’s breath til spring comes. The frost was just beautiful this morning, it was so thick I thought it was snow.
We have a new puppy, Joe. He’s mostly black lab and of course very much fun.
What he can do to a ball of yarn defies description.
And how is it that you put 1 cup of water into the dog……and 3 cups come out.
I am SO glad we have no carpet. Farm living has reinforced that over and over.
I have a chicken with a skin condition……and she is taking a time in the house also. There aren’t enough feathers on her to keep her warm……I suppose I could make her a coat…….. This morning I gave her handful of oatmeal, and no kidding, she said "thankyou". It was kind of a squawking, but the cadence and inflection were perfect.
My workroom is getting mudded and taped today. YEAH!!!!! Only a couple of more steps til I can paint and then move back in. Sewing at the kitchen table is not a fun thing. I miss my huge piece of plywood with a passion. Sitting down to sew isn’t real good either. I sew standing up, gives me faster access to the ironing board and the puppy or cow or whatever needs to be done. Boy, do I ever need to iron that shuts off on it’s own. I’d like it to last longer than 4 minutes though. Hah!
Better get going, I smell the coffee …… and it smells good! Have a great day, I really apreciate all you who come by the site and drop me a note.
Blessings on your heads,
Katie

I hope your sewing room turns out GREAT!(cant wait to see it in a few days)
:)
Oh it is so Beautiful. I think every girl should marry a tradesman. They are so handy…..and they have nice muscles…..
