I'm starting this journal for you because it is real life and you may think it's interesting. Tonight while milking my cow...SweetPea...I was bit by the donkey. Now he is in with my cow to keep her company, but I think he's the jealous sort. Just this week he (Thumper) has begun pulling the clips out of my hair and sniffing me head to toe as I milk. BAD DONKEY!!!!!!! And he knows it...now.

This journal will have entries once in awhile about who I am and how I came to be a pattern maker. To start...I'm 46 and the parent of 5 children. Three sons and 2 daughters. John, 23... Mark, 21...Molly, 20...Bonnie Jean, 15...and Bill, 11. I'm married to Dan...and he is a great guy. We will celebrate 25 years this March.

Today's entry will be a bit longer because this is ground work. Mark arrived in Iraq today and I am struggling a bit. He is married to the most wonderful daughter in law...Rachael.

We live way out in the country on a small farm, each day is pretty busy with animals and kids. I hope to have some pictures before long...the old saying about a thousand words...will save me lots of explaining. Hah.

Lot's of orders are coming in because of the time of year. Summer is over and all you ladies get that sewing nesting bug. Some days I fill as many as 5 or 6 store orders. Of course that means a trip to town...17 miles away. So if I go to town, I need to do errands. Our town really only has 2 streets...so I go up one and down the other and do my errands.

I better go now, do have a great day!!
Katie
