Hi Ladies...are we ready for a break yet? Well I get one tomorrow...it's a quilting retreat. Two long days of quilting with friends in a grange hall. Oh boy, oh boy!!! The plan is to take a bunch of quilts that only need a little more work and finish them up. I learned a long time ago that when a bunch of ladies get together to sew...bring something that doesn't need a lot of concentration...hah.

Cows got out and went to see the neighbors...will retrieve them this weekend. Seems like once they start that "greener on the other side" kind of thinking, you can have your hands full. A couple of weeks ago they did a stint across the river...boy that was job to get them back. Chasing cows in a dress...in the nettles...after giving blood...I think you get the picture. Was glad when husband came home and rescued me. My boots are now dry...on the inside too. :~}

Next week is so busy for me, I'm not sure of a journal entry...the meat birds need to go to the butcher. I leave home at 2 in the morning. They start at 5 o'clock AM. I'm the driver for my neighbor's birds too.

Then there is another retreat next weekend...the ladies from my church are going to the coast for 3 wonderful days of Bible, laughing and food. Yippee!! I'm sure you all think I do nothing but run around the country being social...it just so happens to all land on the calendar at once.

Need to go and milk Sweetpea and feed the chickens.
