Hi Ladies,

It's been two weeks since the floods in the NW decided to go through my workroom. All those boxes and totes....float for a bit then they tip over and mix themselves altogether. Yes, there was loss......many patterns.....thread.....freezers....reams of paper.....blah blah blah. But we are fine, the mud will dry.....the nightmares will stop......I'll order more patterns.

Dan and I were not able to get to the kids that night because every road was closed. And we tried each one at least twice.....all night long....your worst parents' nightmare. But Bill is 14 and Bonnie is 17 and they did great. They saved what they could, moved what they could....and the water got the rest.

As for livestock, only one goat and one chicken died. And the goat was quickly replaced. Yeah.

The water went over the whole farm except for the house and one corner of the front driveway. Why is it that floods come at night....and that they are so noisy? Wouldn't be so bad to face such trouble if you could see it. I've added two pictures to give you some perspective on the whole thing......

We thank the Lord often for watching over the kids and sparing so much of our place. Many times that night I told myself these words...."God is good.....ALL the time". He will bring good things out of this...and I'll be watching for them :~}.

Have a Merry Christmas,
Katie
